A is for April and Animals
Posted by Mylynedj in Stitch Markers on April 1, 2012
April is Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month. All are invited to visit the ASPCA’s website to discover the many ways we can all show support to our animal friends. The Snuggles Project also welcomes knitted and crocheted blankets year round for animals. You can also show your support through your knitting with these stitch markers specially designed for the animal lovers among us.
Five in this set’s stitch markers each have a focal bead of a one-of-a-kind orange Czech druk glass bead, randomly specked with gold paint which is accented by a small smokey fire-polished glass bi-cone bead at the top. One distinguishing stitch marker to mark beginning of rounds or rows is made of the a silver-toned metal paw print charm and is topped by the same smokey fire-polished glass bi-cone bead as the other five. Beads are suspended on a black nylon-coated wire. There are six (6) markers in a set and are now available through Etsy.

It’s Time for a Give-away!
In honor of National Craft Month, I would like to offer a give-away which I will showcase at the end of this post. But first, here’s 5 more ways to celebrate with the top 5 most sought-after Little Sweet Knittings Designs hats to add to your collection (if you haven’t done so yet) and to work on as this month’s project(s):
#5 on the list is the Saryna Hat
#4 is the Nevada Hat
#3 is the Jordan Hat
#2 is Paris Beret
#1 by a large margin is the Quinn Hat
For the give-away– any project can be made special when worked with these snag-free, eye candy below:
The focal bead is made of oval-shaped glass with colors that resemble a cross between Strawberry Daiquiri and Strawberry Jam Jelly Belly (jellybeans). The bottom bead is a peridot green, fire-polished, bicone glass bead that nicely complements the top bead. These stitch markers can fit up to a US 13 (9mm) knitting needle, perfect for LSK Designs hat projects. They are valued between $12 to $15.
To enter, you need to be a subscriber (it will be worth your while as I’m planning to have more give-aways) and leave a comment, “I’m a subscriber,” at this post. For another entry, click “Like” at the Little Sweet Knittings Designs Facebook page and leave a comment “I like LSK Designs” at this post. That makes 2 possible entries per person. No purchase required. This give-away ends on March 30, 2012 at midnight PST. The winner will be picked on March 31, 2012. I will then inform him/her, who in turn needs to email me the mailing address. If the winner fails to respond within 2 weeks, I will pick another winner in his/her place.
