We have listened to our valued customers and agree that one can never have enough berets in a hat collection.  So to this we introduce Bailey– a textured beret with intertwining cables that meet at the top.  Like spokes to a wheel, these add dimension, symmetry, and structure to the piece.  If you love our Paris beret, you will even more likely to love Bailey.  Pattern is both written and charted.

Difficulty:

Intermediate to Advanced

Yarn Suggestions:

Lion Brand Thick and Quick Super Bulky Yarn in Citron, Classic Elite “Forbidden,” Cascade “Lana Grande,” Rowan “Big Wool” or any super bulky yarn.

Yardage:

76 yd (70 m)

Needles:

US 13 (9mm)- 16-inch (40 cm) Circular Needle; US 13 (9 mm) dpns; Or any size to obtain gauge.

Notions:

Stitch markers, row counter, cable needle, tapestry needle or crochet hook.

Size:

Approximately 20” (51 cm) and stretches to 24” (61 cm) in circumference, 9″ deep.

Skills and Techniques Needed:

Knit, purl, cable sts, increasing, decreasing, knitting in the round, knitting with dpns.
